you can call from google hangout or download android app 2nd line. Call on their customer care numbers.

Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time, except for statutory holidays)
or call on 1-613-944-4000 ( this works from google hangout). both the numbers work from 2nd line app

The ghost update it's usually when the card is sent to production. You probably linked the application after it. You should see the approved next week.
