The local Ottawa area phone number for IRCC is 613 944 4000. Dial *67 before if you have problems reaching number directly.

There has been no trick as such it is random I have been connected twice in past 2 months though i dint call too often.

I am not sure where you calling from.

I am in US and am using *676139444000 this apparently hides your called ID and gets through sometimes. ( I am not sure of that)

A little update from my side: I got a ghost update last Friday on November,8. I assume criminality is passed.

I am in USA but my brother has his pr application being processed. He is in canada and trying to reach the agent but no luck yet. I am basically a carrier to my brother.

Just reading some of your post, have anyone here if Caracas hospital for medical examination is a good hospital go to? My wife and I still waiting for AOR1 right now. But like to prepare her going Caracas for medical examination. My wife at Caracas airport a month ago and it was so bad at the airport. No flights til next morning and not sure who was going mug her and the father in the national airport. Hope someone can let me know. She lives in Margarita Island and I'm from Ottawa.

You can only have the medical examinations performed by an authorized physician, I had mine done in Maracaibo since I live here, great Doc there are two (father and daughter) in Maracaibo and three in Caracas. On the following link you can look for their info!

And yeah, it’s been a while since I visited Caracas (like a year or so) and decided to take an 8 hour drive, it’s almost impossible to book a flight.

Eligibility passed.

Criminality passed July 17, 2018.

Security checks are in process since July 17.

I am a noob, but I assume this doesn't mean it is approved.

Wondering why security checks taking so long. And is it normal for it to be in Calgary office?

Security can take long, most of the time it's longer than Criminality at least, since it's a more thorough check. This is not done by IRCC themselves, so they probably can't really give a lot of info why this is taking so long.

I didn't even know Calgary had a VO where files were being processed. Sounds like I have to drop by to ask about my file! I would assume my status is in a similar state. Last time I called, eligibility was passed criminality done, security in progress. However that was over a month ago...
