Hello guys, I've been following this thread for quite some time and I need some advice/insight regarding my current situation

I applied on April 12 and currently, my file is in NDVO since Sept 8. I have been married for almost 3 years now but I didn't apply earlier due to financial reasons (I mentioned this in my application)
Last night my wife (she's in India) received a call from NDVO asking why there was a delay in applying for the spousal visa, and she said it is because of the financial reasons, to which the officer said that they are not satisfied with this answer

Will they refuse my application for this reason?

Looking for an expert advice.
We got married after being in a relationship for 2 years but we didn't have any traditional function although both of us are Indian (sponsor is a citizen). It was a small function at our place and we had not even 10 people in total. No family or relatives were present just close friends. PA left for India later and we filed outland. The marriage is genuine, we just didn't have enough time to organize something big. Anyone heard of a case like this before?
Any opinion you have, good or bad, don't hesitate to share.

If you have shown them your relationship through emails, text messages exchanged & printouts of social media. And hard copies of pictures help.

But you say you have already filed. So in case they ask for more proof..give them all of the above..doesn't matter how many pages. Put everything on word doc, pdf & upload when they request
