My wife application is in progress and I am on PR here. Would it be an issue if I travel to India for 3 months for company project?

I applied in April, the file is still in progress with NDVO.

It should be fine. But you might want to call and ask CIC.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the passport back? And if its okay to book tickets about a month from now? Do they allow us to land in Canada right away?

its instructed in your email ...please read carefully. u need to submit ur PP to Through VFS

M really worried singleman. M jan applicant and in june 12 file in Delhi. How long have to wait. My friend applied for her husband in feb and file in delhi 24 may. She got PPR req on oct 24. I know we were late in responding a correspondence. Thats why file reached in delhi. 18 days late than her. M curious why they taking so long.

Passport request (PPR): November 6th
Got ppr exactly in 8 months today.

Do i have to bring envelopes for passport to submit at VFS office.
Or VFs office provide those.
I don't have any ideas regarding this.

No dont take any envelope
Just take your passport and two photographs of yours (refer to the size specification in the ppr mail) and take some money to pay at the vfs.i was asked to pay around ₹700 -₹800 .forgot the exact figure sorry.
