Hello everyone,

CIC has stated to send notarized copy of original and its translation.

If we just upload the original document and the original translation, do we still need to upload the notarized photocopy of the original document?

I suppose the notarized copy of the original is only required when we are mailing the photocopy of the original documents and keeping original ourselves however in express entry we can just upload the original documents. What are your thoughts?

If the translation is from a certified translator, they notarize it themselves.

At least, this is what the regular procedure in our Country.

The translation is being notarized however, is it required to photocopy the original and get it notarized when we are uploading the original one online along with the notarized translation? If that's the case we have to upload the following:
1. Original.
2. Photocopy of original (notarized)
3. original translation (notarized)

I think when such documents are requested by CIC by mail and the originals are not supposed to be sent then we photocopy the original and get it notarized however in the online upload scenario, is number 1 and 3 sufficient?

All you need is:

1. Original document.
2. Certified Translation (notarized)
3. Notarized registration document of certified translator.

If you are an Indian, you can get translation from following vendor
https://3ade.in/

I used them for translation of my daughter's birth certificate.

You will get a copy from this website and that's all you have to submit. I landed as PR last year in Canada.

I checked this website they provide 3 documents:

Translation
Translation certificate
Affidavit

Only these+original will work. .. Nothing else...

Yes, that is correct

Hi,
For those who have successfully submitted translated documents recently ...is it ok to submit the notarized translation (from a translation agency, printed on their letterhead) and the original copy? Or is an affidavit or translation certificate from that body necessary even if the translation is notarized?

In that case, do we need to translate previous visas as well? In my case I had a German work permit as a passport supplement (not stamped on my passport but an extra piece of paper). What should I do with it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)
