Have you called up IRCC after your ghost update? Just curious to know whether 1 Ghost update or 2 are required for PPR ?

@sk1234 I did call on Monday. The ageen was nice. He told that the application is approved and transferred to CIO, NS. Asked me to be patient for the PPR.

I applied under NOC 2173 which is category A NOC

and under WORK EXPERIENCE: he put a NOTE: HTTPS://www.xxxxx.com/us appears job description will match a more suitable NOC in the same range as a "B" NOC. appears to met job requirement - No concerns

you think this caused him to put A11.2: Review Required since he think that i choose wrong NOC i guess

I too saw something similar in my GCMS notes. Here is my case:
I have applied for EE under 2171 NOC.
I was working for a firm from 2011-2014, at two different designations: 2173 (2011-2013) and 2171 (2013-2014). To keep it simple, I mentioned 2171 for both designations in my application. Analyst put a comment - “applicant’s role for 2011-2013 designation aligns more with 2173”.
Luckily I have been working at my current job with 2171 since 2014, and he gave me full credit of this job.
End result: analyst recommended passed for my application.

Well I dont know about feelings for PPR.. what I know is that if we receive PPRs in batch today for all those in IP2/Ghost Update, the page count to this thread will definately shoot to 750 .

No. No fee. But his office gives you the same update that is available with IRCC call center or online.

Now thinking deeply about it, I’m not so sure this PPR dry season is that bad, at least we know we are on the same boat together rather than watching random AOR dates getting golden mails. I might have a heart attack if (or probably when) half of Oct 15/16 get their mails and I’m spamming congratulations don’t get me wrong, I’d feel equally bad if I got PPR and others don’t... ok maybe not AS bad

If PPR was the end of it I would not feel tensed. BUT PPR is just another beginning of another set of challenges ... starting from when to do soft landing ... how to find jobs ... how to take care of no credit history .. find a place to live etc etc. So challenges will get increasingly bigger. I think it will take another 6 months - 1 year to get settled post PPR. So, we have just started. Hopefully, we will be able to support each other post PPR and especially in Canada.

Hi sweetpotato, You can only travel under implied status if you have a valid visa to return to Canada.

Also, I don't think you can quit/change your job until your open work permit is approved, as 'implied status' implies that you have "the right to continue working or studying under the same conditions pending a determination of their application for renewal". This means that under implied status you have the same status as your original closed work permit, and ideally you will continue to work in the same job.

That said, please don't take my word for it (or anyone's on this forum). You can can often book single sessions (30 minutes) with an immigration lawyer for a small fee, and that is the best way to get accurate answers on your immigration questions.

Before I book my session, I normally make a list of all the questions I have, and try to ask them all within a single session.

I think I'll have to partly disagree with you.

First of all, I think Sweetpotato can quit & move back to home country to await PR (you'll probably have to update your contact details.) Closed work permit is limited to one company (and maybe even 1 position), so changing jobs would not be possible,until you have the Bridging Open work permit. When you travel outside of Canada, your implied status is removed, so you're not able to work anymore (you can return as a visitor if the immigration office is OK with it). When you have the BOWP, you have a valid travel document, so you can travel and return with that permit again.

I agree. I think this June group has really stuck together through this whole process and eventually our goal as a group should be to try and help each other with settlement. PPR is just a confirmation that we now have to accept the upcoming challenges
