This must have been asked before but can anyone tell me what exactly is a Ghost Update?

It's when you log into your account and the status says updated but none of the wording has changed under the different headings.

Hello,

I have few questions:

a) how do we know when the status is IP1 or IP2?
under background check
ip1: your application is in progress....
ip2 : we are processing your background check...


b) and how do we see if the status changes from IP1 to IP2?
the wording changes

c) also, where do you see when the application was last updated?
as soon as you log in instead of saying submitted it will say updated

From the day I sent everything (June 1st, 2018), I saw just the approval of the medical exam a week later, but nothing afterwards and background check still has to start.

I had paid both fees (Permanent Residence Application fee of $550 and Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490) when applying before June, so I didn't see anything related to payment neither.

yes you can just submit new passports at vfs. no need to inform cic.

Very true. People are tired of staying positive as the journey seems never ending. It’s more like dead end road where we are completely unaware about where we are leading and what direction.

And Immitracker is showing irrational trend as ever, no explanation why an applicant got PPR today in 130 days and another in 500 plus days ( without being in SS) from LVO and they are distributing plenty of files now to other VOs after sitting on them for a good 6 to 7 months.
Please don't quote how one applicant is different from other because it's BS.

I have a question guys my file is transferred from Sydney vo to ottawa. My eligibility is done. So do they transfer my file back to sydney or they make a decision in ottawa vo ?
