Hi everyone,

We have submitted medical and pcc 2 wks ago and we haven’t heard anything yet. Is this normal? My deadline for submission is October 28. Im not really sure if they have received pcc coz i only sent a copy thru email response from their request email they sent me. I couldn’t even link the application to my cic account using sign in partner i tried a thousand times. Pls help ty

Can you please provide me email ID for the PCC you sent?

Yes, it does. Your file is probably in transit to the local visa office that will process the PR application. Once that happens, your "Permanent Residence Application Status" on ECAS will change back to 'Application Received", and then "In Process" when they start reviewing it. This is based on my experience.

Not sure what you mean exactly but under my Sponsorship Application status (through Ecas) it still just says Application Received.

Yes, it does. Your file is probably in transit to the local visa office that will process the PR application. Once that happens, your "Permanent Residence Application Status" on ECAS will change back to 'Application Received", and then "In Process" when they start reviewing it. This is based on my experience.

No useful message will show up on MyCIC till PR application processing begins. First message for me was pre-arrival services, then same day I got a request to submit medicals and PCC. This was roughly 1 month after getting sponsorship approval.

Did the doctor indicate medicals were clear ?

They said medical results will go straight to cic and we were told to check cic website. The clinic is in the Philippines

Yea like @razerblade said, you wont really get any other update until they start sending or asking you for documents, so you don't need to look for anything at the moment. You'll know when they contact you..via email or MyCIC

Hi, you said your parents were in Phillippines, right? I think the closest visa office where the Medicals took place is in a position to send the "Furtherance letter" as it is called. Because the panel doctors would send e-medical to that specific office in that country is my understanding.
I guess you just have to wait to receive any "further medical tests required" letter or wait for IME to be passed. All the best. I know it is stressful .
My mom was asked to undergo comprehensive Ophthalmologist assessment. They can only get the appointment for next month.
I am going to write to Ottawa (my LVO) that having done first medicals, I need more time for the subsequent Medical exams and cannot meet the 30day deadline.

Hi @oliveoyl , yea they are i the Philippines currently. Did they send you the letter online or was it snail mail? They will do the 3 day sputum test, I guess I will ask my parents to ask the doctors too, maybe they will know something. After the three days it will take 9 weeks for them to culture it, so it will most certainly not make the deadline. I am just not sure if that is something that they already know or if i'm the one who has to contact them. I would expect a letter letting me know about the delay at least but I have not received anything.

Btw did your MyCIC account ever got updated after the initial medical?

Anyway thank you and good luck to you again as well. Keep me posted with your mom! We're going to get through this *fingers crossed*
