Spouse Open Work permit

Hello

I am permanent residence of canada and i just got married in september 2018.Now i am applying for my Spouse open work permit.
My question is do i apply for Spousal PR file first or Open work permit first?
Which one is faster and recommended first?

Is there anyone who applied in July Start? My Wife applied for my Open work permit on 4th july and i have pre-medical. Its been 3 months today and i did not get any positive reply yet

Got PPR for my husband & son. Just waiting for my daughter’s PPR. I don’t know why it got delayed but hoping for it to come soon.
Applied online from canada on 12 july. Family in India.

I believe if the spouse is not in Canada, it cannot count as an inland application. It will hsve to go through the spouse's home country, which is typically longer.
