They will access the sponsor eligibility and if everything is ok, you will receive Sponsor Approval. It can take about 2-4 months, maybe less if you're not under provincial requirements (like in Quebec).
Quebec applicants (like me) receive CSQ request and must have provincial approval of the sponsor and then federal approval (SA).
Those who applied for OWP must receive it after SA.
I saw someone asking about work permits and PR applications. Thought I ask about my situation as well.
I am currently on open work permit (through graduating from my degree), which expired May 2019. Since there was 8 months left of it, I didn't apply for OWP with my PR application. My PR application has been received and linked to the online account, as of five days ago.
Now, I am guessing my PR application would not be approved by May 2019. If this is the case, how should I proceed? Do I need to apply for renewal of my OWP, 3 months before it expires? Can I apply for renewal with the pretext of my PR application? Or would applying for PR give me permission to keep working until I get a response, even if I don't renew the OWP?
I am in the same boat. My PGWP will expire on October 2019 and I just applied last week. I am hopeful to get my PR before it expires. However, my Consultant mentioned applying for OWP on June 2019, just in case (4 Months before the other one expires).
Since you're OWP expires in May 2019, You should apply for OWP 4 months before - February 2019.
I am not sure if u can apply for renewal with the pretext of my PR application. If you know. please let me know.
You have to apply for OWP if you would like to keep working.

Thank you. I'd imagine we should be able to apply with the pretext of PR. And, 4 months seems the right amount of time. I'll call CiC and ask, maybe later around December.
I’ve tried googling, but the answer eludes me. Perhaps someone here would know.
How do I go about updating my passport information and last name with IRCC? I’ve recently got a new UK passport with my marital name, which is different than the name on the application (maiden name). Is there a place on the gckey account to update it, or elsewhere?
Nevermind! After further search through the forums I found the answer to my question.
Should anyone else wish to know how to update information on their application, including passport information or name changes, then follow the link to the web form to upload information to IRCC.

Yeah, you can send a copy by webform or mail it to your visa office with a brief explanation letter containing your App number and UCI number, name etc. But I heard webform works good.
Any 31st August applicant waiting for AOR? I had called IRCC on Tuesday and they said I still need to wait. Getting anxious because it seems like a long wait.

I submitted my application and got my AOR on same day 13th August( Canadian Exprience Class). Myself and my husband completed the medical exams on July 30th and we confirmed that there is no issue in our exams and they submitted on Aug 2nd. Still my Medical status says, 'You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes'. On September 13th, I received an email from CIC that, my application has been updated. But when I login, nothing has been updated.
I tried calling CIC, couldn't reach the agent. Please suggest.

This thread is for Inland Spousal Sponsorship, I strongly recommend you to post on Canadian Experience Class Forum so you can find proper answers to your questions. Though, in your case I would try to call your physician to find out when they sent your results and then try to call CIC early morning to figure it out, they are really busy, so keep trying.
