Hi guys,

I have been following this thread silently. I was in SS and got my PPR yesterday. I don't feel excited after such a long wait, but happy that waiting game is over, finally. Wish you all receive your PPRs soon. My timeline is below:
AOR: August 26, 2017
IP2: November 8, 2017 (I was in SS, so my SS probably started on that date)
Ghost update: September 18, 2018
PPR: September 18, 2018

Congratulations any way !!!! Hope I will hear from them soon

@legalfalcon. I’m reaching out to you for advice. I was put in SS two months ago. I know SS is gonna take a year if not months. I’m incredibly frustrated and anxious. Would you kindly guide on what to do during this time? Like what activities to engage with to prepare myself for Canada. If it helps, I’m a Civil engineer by profession.

How are you sure that you are in SS? Did you check your CBSA / CSIS reports.

However, if you are, then you will have to unfortunately wait it out. During this time do the following:

1. Research your filed you want to work in
2. Start networking in your field, use social sites like linked to reach out to people.
3. Research on the area you would like to live in
4. If you have kids, check the schools, session dates, immunization requirements.
5. Plan Plan Plan

and above all, stick to the forum and help others our with your experience./
