Lets hope we do not have to do that.
Yeah there's no way that I'm gonna spend that much. But to be honest the fee varies between 2 and 5 grand. People who paid 2 grand even they ended up getting their case finalised almost immediately.
Yeah his time period was absolutely appalling. I also read that people with year and a half and 2 years wait even had their cases approved as soon as the confirmation of writ was sent to IRCC.

Hi, since when you are in ss? How long cbsa takes once the status becomes: "in progress by cbsa"? Does it mean csis is done? Thanks!

Mate I haven't a clue. I can only speculate that it was from March this year because of my correspondence with the London VO. In terms of timelines, CBSA can take up to 6 months or even more. My file was never sent to CSIS, only CBSA are carrying out my SS. But I've seen in many different forums that files in SS took more time with CSIS than CBSA and once CSIS concluded with their part, it only took CBSA couple of days to return the file back to IRCC with recommendations.
I reckon the reason why only CBSA are carrying out the check on my file is because of the ludicrously extensive travel history that I've got.

Thanks for detailed response. Just to add I have seen one case of an indian guy in which his file was not sent to csis. But he found out from cbsa notes he was under OCS.
