My fiance is ready to submit his Citizenship application and I have a question regarding the presence calculator. His eligibility dates are 2013-09-01 to 2018-09-01. He became PR on 2015-06-01.
The calculator states "*Did you leave Canada between 2013-09-01 and 2018-09-01?" would you enter all the days before 2015-06-01 as an absence? because he technically didn't have any status before then except a couple of weeks on visitor status

Visitor status is status. You MUST list visitor status when asked if he had status before becoming a PR.
Apart from that, you don't need to list absences while he didn't have status at all. For example, you don't need to list times before he was a visitor. Double check that in the end the calculator lists the right number of days.
Visitor status is also valid. Any temporary residence is valid. Even being a tourist for two weeks fulfils the Canadian definition of temporary resident.
