Some processes are too big for back up servers.
Some glitches affect back up servers.
Some glitches may actual be physical server damage, or a connection issue caused by a third party.
The possibilities are endless. Why they dont have a back up PLAN of some description, and better communication with people, is mystifying.
When I linked my app there was a message alerting that the system would be off for a period (I dont remember how long), but I couldn't imagine it would affect CBSA.

Maybe there are further issues than just the one? Stars, I feel bad for IT. And the airline customer service people moreso, because its not their system thats broke, but they have to deal with the issue front line.
Looks like a scheduled maintenance that went wrong...
its already back online now...

Not when I tried it... Maybe for others, and hopefully for those stuck at airports.
Anyone recently received owp???

A couple of weeks ago i got an e-mail satting that my sponsor application has been received. I looked it up online and it says that it's in progress (or in process).
However, when I checked my husband's status, it only says it has been recieved - not "in progress". Is that because I'm logged in as me? He hasn't received an e-mail from them yet and can't check his status because he does not have an identifier. Did the internet eat his e-mail or do they usually start on the sponsor's application first? Is it long for the sponsee's application to be in progress after the sponsor's starts?
PS - all applications were received on June 27th.
Please can anyone help me I received a message in my gckey about IFHP what does that means please I have 57 days to submit it

This is not the medical request.
Its a health-care program that provides benefits for specific groups of people until they become eligible for provincial or territorial health insurance. I think its not related to PR app.
Lets see others opinions.

You have 57 days to submit what exacty?
I have a weird situation, I am hoping that someone here might have experience with it.
I am an august applicant. I am yet to receive an AOR.
It was received on the second week of August. I checked my ECAS as the PA and it shows in Process when I expand it it says " We received your application on August 13"
I finally attempted to link it to the MYCIC using my UCI number and it worked. After linking I got an application number on the account beginning with an F.
Today, I tried logging in as the Sponsor at ECAS and it stated " In process, the first message was we received your application on August 13 and then another that we started processing on September 6.
I plan to call the CIC on Friday.... not sure if they will be sending back or getting the AOR
Hi everyone!
Happy new year
I am new to this forum, but find it a very helpful resource. I have been reading the 2017 spousal sponsorship updates thread and didn't see a thread started for those submitting 2018 spousal applications. Hoping I can share any updates and also hear from others.
My common-law partner (from Australia) and I have submitted our application on January 2nd, received by the processing centre on January 3rd.
Wishing luck to everyone
any updates in your application?thanks
