Am I IP1 or IP2, wording is similar to IP2?

I received my EApr email on 10th August 2018 and then Medical Passed on 30th August along with RCMP finger print request. My BG Status says that "We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information". Is this IP1 or IP2. I am still waiting for for RCMP results to be mailed to me. I did the fingerprints on the same day of request.

IP2 but since you have canadian exp or live in canada or studied in canada it goes to IP2 directly skipping IP1.

Yeah I am CEC and completed my education in Canada, but it is way too quick to go to IP2. For the Additional Docs, it says that we need Additional documents to continue processing............"

So I am still waiting to get my fingerprint results from RCMP. People say it takes upto 10 days.

there is no IP1 for CEC applicants.

3-4 months from AOR. a few have got it in 2 months as well.

I have lived in Canada for more than 6 months in the past, and yesterday I had my MEP cleared and my BG Check went from NA to ''We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information"

In addition, they also sent me a request for RCMP Criminal Record based on fingerprints.

But the difference is the fact I am a FSW Outland applicant not a CEC inland......Any clue about the stage I am in??? I would say IP1 , not sure tho.

You are in IP2. For many applicants thid direct IP2 post MEP is observed these days.

It doesn't make big difference. If you move to IP2 directly you tend to stay longer in that stage. But if you stay longer in IP1 then the time difference between IP2 and PPR is less. It's all the same. These IP1, IP2 doesn't matter at all.

I got it in terms of ''processing time''.....

but regarding R10 completeness check, if u skip IP1 when does R10 occur? 'While ''IP2? Or I can assume I am done w it?

I am not sure but I think R10 is completed before medicals. Atleast that's what I saw in my GCMS notes. IP2 is mostly background check, criminality and eligibility and POF verification

Do u have any idea the criteria they use to request RCMP Criminal record for someone who lives abroad (have lived in canada in the past tho)??

Simply cuz u have lived there u r liable to get this request?

I think yes. Since you lived for more than 6 months in Canada. RCMP is being requested.
