ah damn! That's long. Should've directly applied at the PP office. People are getting it within 2 weeks.
My sentiments exactly after having done so.
I have waited four months for this day as well, don't act like it was served to me in a silver platter. Why I need to go work is my my personal problem, I only asked time duration so I can decide if I need the entire day off or halc day , because unlike some people i have responsibility at work and I need to inform my employer of my absence. And I live in Scarborough, I Don't drive, and it'll take me forever to get to Mississauga, still not complaining about why my file was transferred to Mississauga when i live in Scarborough.
If you can't answer my question or can't help, just stay silent and ignore my message, there is no need to act like a jerk. Not everyone has the luxury to take a day off. If you are jealous of other people getting oath then I can only pray to god to help you. Such a jerk
Aleen
We all are here seeking some information
abt proceeding g times and so on. I am sure that David didn’t mean anything negative as we all are in same boat. I am willing to help you to get to Mississauga.
Let me know.
Sorry for an off-topic post. Those who applied for a Canadian Passport, are/were you able to check the status online ? I applied this morning and was told processing time is 5 weeks lol. They said I can visit
www.passportcanada.gc.ca to check the status, but that website is down.
@rajmalhotra7 , any idea ? Thanks!
You cannot check status online. If you walk in to Passport Canada office. You can apply for Urgent processing for extra fee and proof of travel. I think they have 24 hour service (pick up in person) and for this they most likely call your Guarantor and/or References, so ensure you give heads up to them to pick up calls. Other option is you can pick up passport in 2-9 days with some minor extra fee.
As soon as your e-cas status shows Complete, go to Passport Canada office within 2-3 hours and apply for passport. If you had Oath on Aug 22, your status should have been Complete by now. You can go on Saturday morning for passport, if you have not already done so...
Their website says 10 business days for regular processing, but we got My fathers passport in 3 days (they dispatched in 2 days) and ours was regular processing..

Thanks a lot for the info! I'm afraid it's already too late. I messed up and applied at Service Canada today early morning before posting here, without checking the processing times. Service Canada is super slow compared to the passport office, and now I'm stuck. It is what it is ... will wait.

Ohh... I believe you have some travel plans already. would you be able to get Passport before you leave.

Travel plans are unconfirmed at this point. Once confirmed and If they conflict, I will call the passport office to see what my options are. Hopefully, it works out.
Since the majority of Scarborough applicants is taking Oath in Mississauga and not everyone drive why don’t a couple of applicants who have their Oath the same day and time book and Uber and get pick up at the subway and ride share.

Congrats, depends Faimalik wht are you planning to take 401 or QEW. I would suggest to avoid the heavy morning traffic if you can specially 401. Even if you reach 9 am at Mississauga, it would be fine.
Good Luck

What’s the major intersection you’re coming from?
My major intersection is Donmills and Eglinton.. and I usually take 401
As I have no experience about morning rush hour and in letter they told don’t arrive more than an hour ago
Yes they we reschedule another date as indicated in the mail but im worried it will be a early date before i arrive in toronto. I just wish they don’t reschedule it really quickly
Have they rescheduled your oath as yet?
