Yep you are right. The status was not accirate posted at my end. My current status is :

Review of eligibility- We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results- You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents - We do not need additional documents.

Interview -You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics -We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

Final decision- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.


Is anyone exactly sailing in the same boat? Kindly share your AOR and MEP dates too.

I am living in ottawa, got my AOR on 5th june..But i called CIC today, got to know that my visa office is Etobicoke.BG check not yet started...Anyone having same Visa office??? is it slower that Ottawa Visa office???

My BG status says 'We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information'. I believe this is IP2. Otherwise, the Interview, Biometrics and Final decision status for us are the same.

When did you get your AOR? And when you passed your medical? N from which state,country you are? This way I can atleast estimate progress of my application. Sorry for asking so many questions.

I got a Procedural fairness letter on Aug 15th regarding my employment letter and Wage under min wage req in my previous job. I replied for the procedural fairness letter with required docs and explained my situation in a formal way on Aug 20th.
Today I received an email from CIC, for an interview to finalize my PR application. They asked me to bring that letter, passport, photos for PR card.

Is it a good sign?

Just called CIC. The agent said my eligibility is "recommend pass" BG hasn't started yet. I asked which VO my case at . She told me my case is still in Ottawa center which hasn't sent to any specific visa offices. Disappointing I am applying from the US....
