From Medical Passed to We are processing your background check in two minutes

Hi,

I am a little bit confused about BG status. e-AOR was on 28-07-2018 and got medical passed today. After two minutes, I logged in again and I found that the BG check message changed from "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information". Is this IP1 or IP2 or what?

As per convention it is IP2. Yes it is super quick. But some lucky ones get PR within 3-4 weeks. It's possible you're one of them.

Are you inland applicant? If yes then it's quite normal. Or even when you have been to Canada before.

Nope. Apparently, all inland applicants are assigned to IP2 directly after medical. In other words, IP1/IP2 is not relevant to inland applicants in general.

Yeah, mine is the same, went straight to processing bgc after medicals passed. I received two ghost updates since then but my application has been the same since mep passed about a month ago.
