people who applied in May 2017 are getting PPR but those who applied in April 2017 are still stuck, thats strange

That's common. There're bunch of Feb & March 2017 applicants still waiting.

I think it depends of your file and if it is an easy case. I would say too it would depend more when they started your IP2 after medical rather than when they receive your application. However, that's my personal opinion.

Medical Requested and addition documents (updated job letter, updated Sc A (I made a mistake earlier so I corrected it here and LOE), bank funds for both spouse and principal applicant, updated additional family form, Ref. for previous jobs) : July, 2018
Medicals passed: July, 2018
Additional forms updated: August, 2018
waiting for PPR

I am just wondering if anyone else have received the email to send multiple additional documents? as it was just like a general list stating if not submitted and some were like updated so I am so worried?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with upfront medical? I submitted my application last week and was received this week st Sydney..I included an upfront medical report which I used 3 months ago for my work permit application .The medical report is still valied for 8 months ..will this in anyway fasten my processing time ?

Upfront Medical doesn't guarantee fast processing but from the looks of the current trends,the medical will be okay to submit for the application, hopefully this will help you save extra medical cost. Unless CIC asks for another medical, you should be good for now.

Yes is is. PS means Public safety. It takes 3-5months to complete this process. Whats your Timeline.
