1) My application reached my local office (Vancouver) as of July 27, is this an indication of anything in the timeline?

2) I have 2 exams coming (september and october) which are not related to citizenship application. Lets say I get my exam date during these months, is it possible to change the exam date?

These exams are so easy - just read the book a couple of times and go do it - plus your Indian genes are so smart.

Hello all,

I just got an email for an invitation for test and ceremony on the same date for Sept. 21. It mentions I will be able to complete the test in the morning and attend (if I pass my exam) the ceremony in the afternoon of the same date.

I dont know if this is usual.

The letter said there was an exam in Kelowna but due to the high volume of applicants I was not gonna be able to make it until January 2019. So they gave me the option to pick between two dates (September or October) to complete the test in Vancouver. For both options the test and the ceremony is gonna happen on the same date.

I picked September, but they said on the letter that they will confirm this 3 weeks prior the date since this is a first come first serve kinda test and there are limited seats.

I already replied the email, so I guess i wont know until 3 weeks before September 21st if I made the cut?

No it does not seem wiered, it appears that finally CIC is waking up and streamlining their processes.

Perhaps they paid McKinsey or someone millions of dollars to do a business processes review and re-engineering. These folks have been so archaic.

Good to see this happening though.

Hi Everyone,

So I am Feb 2018 applicant from Brampton.
AOR March 5th. My file has been In-process since May 11th.

I have been calling CIC call centre once a month since May 11 to find out status of my application.
They have been telling me that "Your file is In-Transit". Same reply from last 3 months.
I don't understand how a file can be still In-Transit after 3 months?
Can someone shed some light on this situation.

Havent called. But im in the same boat. Brampton. In process on May 9.
But since then nothing.

Requested ATIP 3 weeks ago. Hopefully i can get by friday next week and find out what is going on why my app.

I don think anyone in Brampton has gotten any update

Question: ECAS status was updated to DM for both spouse and I but my child's status in ECAS still shows as IP. Does anyone has similar experience and can share when can we expect it to update to DM?
