I thought PGP sponsorship started in 2016. Well, now I know better. It also confirms my suspicion that they are not just working on applications received in 2014.

it was started in 2014 after break in 3 years with quote 5000, 5000, 10000 and then lottery system from 2017-10000

CIC asked me to submit IMM5562. I am small confusion.

Form has sections : 2c,2d,2e: Your dependent child 18 years old or older ?.
We are 2 brothers living in Canada in 30s and are not dependents on our parents (that I am sponsoring). I think these sections should be left empty ?

Hi all,

Just a quick question to everyone who had successfully linked to your application.

I was trying to link my application for few days (received AOR on last week), and kept trying to link my mom's application with her passport number.
However, with the passport number it kept failing, so I tried with multiple combination, and finally got it through with her place of birth.

Just out of curiosity, is it something that I need to concern? I double checked the application that I sent, I did enter the matching passport number, but was not able to find/link the application.

How did you guys link the application? using passport or place of birth?

Please advise.

I created MyCIC account under my Father name and email address, once the paper application is linked to the MyCIC account, all the correspondences/ letters will be sent to the MyCIC. I will recommend you to link the paper application as soon as you receive an AOR.

For emails, the letters for AOR and Sponsorship Approval will be sent to your email address, after that the Medical form and request for additional documents will show up in MyCIC.

Yes dear, where ever the individual stayed more than 6 months you have to get the PCC from that country.

I read through the forum and I believe this is not of any concern its just like sometimes one set of combination is not working and something else is working.
That could be the glitch with the system.
No worries, everything should be fine.

Congratulations to everyone who successfully received AOR.
I phoned CIC and got an my application number. CIC agent mentioned there is a letter which determinated my eligibility sent to me lately, but the agent has no access to the letter from the system.
It made me nervous now as I didn't receive any email (I provided email on my application.) Is it anything wrong on my eligibility? I met the income requirement and I didn't acquire my PR through sponsorship.
I also checked ECAS, the status showing my application is received.
Is it normal that a paper letter sent to me? Will I also receive an email?

Even if you acquired your PR through sponsorship still you can sponsor. One can not sponsor a spouse if he/she was sponsored as a spouse in the last five years. nothing to do with parents. Anyways happy to see you were done with the first stage.

Hi everyone can someone please update my status I'm in line 38, AOR received June 26, they requested additional docs last June 27 its my notice of assessment for the year 2015, I missed to submit it. Then July 23 sponsor approval, the application forwarded to visa office OTTAWA, thanks much
