Had the test today and passed (19/20). Citizenship officer said we are all done except for security clearance. Once that comes through she will approve the application. But there is a backlog and it will take 6 to 8 months at minimum to complete. Anyone had this kind of experience? does it take long after test pass? I have applied from Ottawa.

yes, 20 questions to be attempted with in 30 minutes. 15 correct is mandatory. 'Discovery Canada' covers the test fully.

Minors can apply in two ways:
- Without their parents, i.e. in their own right. That is "under subsection 5(1)". In that case they have to fulfill the physical presence requirement.
- But if they apply with their parents/their parents apply for them, i.e. their parents either are applying for their citizenship at the same time or they already are citizens, then the child does not need to fulfil the physical presence requirement. That is an application "under subsection 5(2)"

Hi All,

I have a question.
In my citizenship application i provided a copy of CELPIP test results as proof of English Proficiency.
I always had a digital copy and that is what i printed and sent with my application.

Now I am looking for the original copy and I cant find it. It is not where i thought it was.
And i need to present the original when i go for Citizenship Test.

In case i cannot find the original, can i use Canadian University transcript?
Even though that is not the method i chose to prove my proficiency in English in the citizenship application.
