My parent's address is in Hong Kong, but Visa Office assigned to Ottawa too. Does it actually matter? Does my dad at some point need to travel to the Visa Office in person? Thanks.
Another update, received Sponsorship Approval letter this evening. As per letter, the application has been forwarded to the visa office in CPC-Ottawa.
The letter says "This visa office was selected based on your relative’s home address" but I had put my parents home address in India, weired!
01-May-2018 - Application Received 06-July-2018 - AOR Received 10-July-2018 - ECAS updated to In-Process 20-July-2018 - ECAS updated to Decision Made 20-July-2018 - Sponsorship Approval letter received via email. CPC-OTTAWA assigned.
Applied May 5th
Sponsorship Decision made - 17 July
Application of PR - In process
Processing Office assigned to Ottawa, since my parents are already in Canada on Super Visa
I think for citizen sponsors they are forwarding it to Ottawa. For PR holder sponsors they are sending it to local VO.It is only my assumption. My parents are from Bangladesh. They have never came to Canada.I am a citizen and my files have been transferred to Ottawa.

If you are submitting this form in paper format by mail (this applies if your application kit requires you to submit a paper copy of your Schedule A as part of your complete application):
You can fill out the form on your computer (recommended) or fill it out by hand.
If you are filling it out on the computer: in the signature section, type your name and select the date using the date selection tool. Then, print out the form and sign in writing (provide your original handwritten signature) next to your name in the signature box. If you do not sign and date the form according to these instructions, it will not be accepted and will be returned to you.
If you are filling the form out by hand: in the signature section, sign your name and complete the date legibly. If you do not sign and date the form, it will not be accepted and will be returned to you.

Question from me to you or anyone who knows: for supplementary travel information, do we need to provide all travels up till the date when the form is filled OR the date that we signed the original application forms ?
My father traveled a few more times after the application was submitted. Wondering if I need to account for those.
I think it says last 10 years and it doesn’t harm to give up to date information!
So you could fill it!
Sorry but did you or anyone else also receive the xfdf file

hmm, reason for asking is, including current travels could affect whether I need to provide a PCC from certain countries or not. That's why I was asking.
I haven't gotten that far in the process yet. Just got AOR last week. Perhaps, someone else can help answer the question.
But from what I understand, you don't need to open the xfdf file, just make sure it's in the same directory as the pdf file. I think.
