3-3.5 months from the time the application is received. This changes if the application gets returned.

Hi my application was received on june 5th 2018 ( spousal application + owp) and i have observed that 40-45 days are the average days to get AOR so finger crossed ......next two weeks may give us good news.

If the application gets returned, do we get AOR before that or they just send the application back without sending AOR email?

If your application got returned then they wont give u AOR. They will send your application without AOR.
Generally This are reasons if your application is returned back
1. Missing forms
2. Missing sign
3. Irreverent fees
4. Insufficient documents
5. Incorrect information
6. Missing translation of any documents such as birth certi or police certificate
7. Forms should be up to date based on latest checklist.

Similar things will be checked for owp if u have applied along with the inlad spousal application

Yes, Mississauga office is where the app was sent.
