AOR: July 5
About to apply for work permit to vergrevile.
Question; If you apply the work permit separately, how will you be able to see on ECAS

I just got my application back today and the reasons for returning it are the translation of birth certificate( which is translated so its their mistake) and missing hand written signature in Schedule A. My question now is I applied for visitor extension but havent got response yet. In this case am I still under implied status?

No.Implied status takes effect when there is acknowledgement of receipt of your application...

wow..these people are so careless..they don't even check properly. its just a signature which we can easily sign and upload online..but no, they just need a reason to return the file.

It is really frustrating I went through the app twice before sending it and still there is something missing...One question for those who resent the app, do you have to send the updated forms? some of the forms have changed since May...

hie.. do you happen to know which particular forms have updated since may? And, how many days it took to get your file back since they send it to you as am waiting for mine too.

Sent my PR and OWP application on the 26th May and it was received on the 27th May. We used a representative so I am not sure who will receive the acknowledgment from the CIC.
I do have the courier company delivery receipt.
Fingers crossed for speedy process.

On a separate note, what do you do with all the spare time? Can you do volunteer work just to keep busy?

Hey guys need serious help my application was sent backdue to signature problems and insufficient amount of fees paid.
First, how ill they refund all the fees and do i have to pay fees again while sending the application again, and how much is the fees for the extension of work permit.. also my spouse is on implied status how will it work for reapplication plss help

All communication will go through the representative. However you can use your UCI number to check status on ECAS to act as a second pair of eyes.

Sorry to hear your application was returned. My application was also returned due to same reason last month.
Open Work permit fees is tricky if you just refer the checklist document .You need to pay 100+155 =255 total amount.
Your fees will not be refunded . Please sign the BG check form and pay remaining 155 dollars fees and submit the application to CPC-M office.
Also please refer to the latest application form kit from CIC website which was updated in June 2018.

Yeah my wife is doing some volunteer work to keep busy. They don't really require documentation to help out at these facilities. Good way to meet people with similar interests as well.

Other than that the things we do to keep busy are:
- Checking CIC every few hours
- Checking the forum continuously trying to calculate how far we are from OWP.

so far that I know, the forms that has been changed since June:
IMM 0008, IMM 5533 & IMM 5406.
The IMM 5406 it still said February 2018, but when you actually open it, it has changed to May 2018. So make sure you open all the forms and check with the date at the bottom page.
Keep trying and don't give up. It is worth it! we are all here in the same journey.

Oh snap! I don't think I checked the bottoms of the forms, I only went off the dates on the application package list of forms page... bugger!!
