ECA of Sikkim Manipal University Degree.

I do know one guy in process with admission year 2010. So award year would be 2012.. let me ping him and get back ... But I kind off know that he is still on process.. otherwise he would have already sent me a snapshot of assessment..

Whose degree is ‘protected?’

# Those who had started and completed their distance education programme anytime prior to the academic session 2011-12
# Students who began their distance education programme prior to the academic session 2011-12 but completed the course afterwards
# Students who were admitted to the distance education programmes from February 22, 2013, to June 26, 2015
# As admitted by SMU in Sikkim HC, it put a freeze on admissions from October 25, 2012. Any admission from October 25, 2012, to February 22, 2013, is thus questionable


I just to want to check if anyone from 2011-2013 SMU-DE batch has been assessed positively. 2010 is valid, so anyone prior to 2011-2012 batch is in safe zone.

Dear Saurabh,

I am glad to know your hard earned degree is now recognized in Canada. Congratulations!!!

I am carrying a similar case where I have done my graduation from IPU university and post graduation from SMU. The problem is that IPU is not supporting to send documents directly to ICAS which is a mandate requirement from them.

Now, I am thinking to apply for graduation ECA from WES and post graduation ECA from ICAS. Kindly suggest if that could be the appropriate way forward. Pls suggest if that will be acceptable from CIC in Express Entry. (I browsed a lot on Internet, but didn't get much useful information).
I took reference from your post "Point 2 I only sent my masters degree papers." So I infer you too have done a similar sought of thing. Just a Guess,though.

Pls support to suggest. Hope your Express Entry process is on track too and all the very best for the same.

Now..
There is a school of thought that says .. both credentials should be assessed by one authority only.. otherwise applicant will see rejection.

As such cases are very low.. I never found a person who agreed to do this i.e. put up two seperate reports of ECA for two degrees.

Whereas when you fill in your application, you will generate two seperate tabs/place holders treating both credentials seperately and allowing you to fill in the report numbers seperately.

I never even got my bachelor's assessed and only filled in masters in education section. Only presented one ECA mentioning only masters and I got through the process smoothly. I suggest the same to you.

Only IQAS (International Qualification Assessment Services) Alberta doing ECA for SMU degrees. It takes very long time so please start the process as soon as possible. Visit website. WES does not recognize SMU.

I'm in the process of getting my ECA from IQAS, already sent the documents for my SMU DE BScIT and MCA. Is there anyone who has information about the following:
- Are SMU DE degrees considered as full-time/part-time?
- Which option to select during the profile creation?
- Did you mention anything about your education and degree in the LOE?
- After the document submission, did the case officer ask any additional questions about educational qualification/ECA?

hi, i have to apply for my wife's ECA to IQAS as she did MBA from SMU in 2014 but she had 1 year gap started in 2011. please advise if IQAS accepts gap to evaluate.
