Completed my oath yesterday at Scarborough office. It was a smooth experience. Judge Wong presented the citizenship certificates to 86 new citizens. Thanks to all the support from friends in this forum. Wish you all good luck and speedy processing.

On Canada Day, Markham Civic center will be having citizenship ceremony. Does anybody know, what is process of selecting candidate for such ceremony? Will it be only Markham resident?

It was a nice experience My husband and I got to sit in the first row.
A note to people wanting to bring family to the ceremony - they only allowed one person per family first and then whoever would still fit in the room.
So remember not to bring your all family members as they might feel disappointed that they were not able to be in the room with you.

October 2017 applicant here. I checked my ecas this morning and it shows I got oat invite yesterday for July 5 in Scarborough. Been in DM about 2.5.

I have been waiting for oath letter too. Test taken on January 29 at Scarborough office, decision made same evening. Still no oath letter. Application received on October 16,2017.

Probably if we don't see an invite today to any of these Canada day ceremonies, that would likely mean they are full already.

Its still good news though, helps clearing the queu...theoretically we are getting closer, even if we don't have a clue when they'll invite us for Oath
