2017 you mean lol..got confused for a second there. Have you sent them any updated communication yet ?
Oooops my bad. No I haven’t send any updated proof. Yeah we did send chat history, call history and everything with the file but not after that

Second marriage cases always usually take time as well interviews are requested. You should consider the possible things they could question you about. Since its been awhile you could send updated communication, my suggestion would be from where you left off.
After your marriage to today's date, selecting screenshots of whatever method you use. Two to three from each month, paste it on word, convert to pdf. If you have visited your spouse, include that as well (photos, boarding pass)

No I am an applicant and I have saved the entire chat history since my wife left to Canada. I know there is always some delays in second marriage case but my eligibility and background check are both in process. So still hoping that they won’t ask for the interview though.
If they want something at any stage, they'd ask for it. As far as the review date is concerned, not everyone is unlucky enough to have the review date somewhere near/after the 12 month mark. If sending voluntary docs expidited the cases, half of you would have been done by now. Not every officer is pleased with additional load.
Well it says background checks are in process so as the eligibility. And it started in May. Coz my file was transferred to LVO in April and they started processing on it on 27th of april
Thats because in canada they search PA's info in their database and in usa's as well .. so initial background chk is already done in Canada .. abb u hv to wait for the full review and full bkgrd chk to finish in London ..

What is your timeline please and when did they tell you about the interview? Did they ask any additional proof or documents before asking for interview or just straight forward to the interview?
There is a link to the spreadsheet in my signature .. its well kept by the admins here .. do chk mine out in 2017 tab ..
its a mix right now, for some late 2017 applicants they started BCG before sending to LVO or have both Eligibility and BCG in process at the same time. I am Oct 2017 applicant also and only my Eligibility shows in process but BCG is not along with others in the same boat as me.

I would update it. However, do expect delays and interview..it is better to expect the worst case scenarios.

That is probably true but why some of the applicants still have no background check started even after file transfer to LVO?

Yeah as per my luck unfortunately I am expecting something like that really

It isn't about having the review date at the 12 month mark. If you contact your MP after it is in queue to be seen by an immigration officer by that time the review date is in the officers notes (after full review) the MPs are able to retrieve that info. Also, I agree it doesn't expedite the process however, depending on your individual situation which every person is aware of, they will request additional info towards the end. That does save time rather than having to be asked at the very end when you wish for the process to have been over. I know many who went through that.

Yeah that’s true there is no hard and fast rule, when it comes to canadian immigrantion

Mines a Nikkah case and it's at the end now, reached the 11 month mark now . I'm not expecting anything until the review date although some always suggest it'll be done sooner, I don't believe that. Not sure what they'll ask for either however, I voluntarily sent my proof of updated communication and my visit..considering mine is a Nikkah case and they'll likely question it.

Just because they state bgc has started doesn't mean they are actually working on the main things. I feel like they're just saving the headache from having to respond to people otherwise when they actually properly work on it, it is completed within few days.

Did they ask you for an interview? As per everyone here I have quite a few red flag myself so let’s see. I just hate this immigrantion process. It is stressful and unpredictable. You never know what to expect
