do you think their people go door to door and find out about Applicant ? OR about his / her family etc?
going to neighbourhood, school, college...asking people about them?

they have rcmp,fbi,what ever country intelligence agency plus interpol to see if you have a criminal record or ties to organize crime to terrorisn

They still have to do it for their procedures, and follow the rule. Waiting sucks but can't do much.
Pakistanis unfortunately wait the longest in the world for their immigration/PR/Visitor visas, and not just for Canada.

Same with me.
My husband has been living in canada for more than 20 years
I have never travelled except we went for our honeymoon to dubai for 7 days and they are taking forever to do my background check

agree but less work and efforts for IRCC and whoever they engaged to do our BGC as as simple house maker girl has no critical bcg ground to check? no travel history no job history.....cases like these should take 1 day to complete BGC

I agree with you here but unfortunately it is happening because some of us did a lot of fraud in the past. It is very unfortunate that we all have to suffer.

At least be glad you people have background checks in progress, that means eligbility is passed and they'll eventually get it. Some of us are waiting not knowing anything, what if they decide to decline us.

Then how is the bcg conducted? Isn’t Police clearance certificate for this purpose?

PCC is only for criminality check usually i guess in bgc they check travel history, educational history and everything like that.
