Travel Visa, Document Translation Required?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to apply for the visitor visa for my dad. He has never travelled abroad and will come to Canada for two weeks. He wants to apply for travel visitor visa, not family visit.

Does anyone know if the documents such as marriage certificate, bank statement, property ownership need to be translated into English?

I saw some people saying it requires translation, but others said they got the visa without submitting the translations. So please can anyone verify this for me?

You need to translate every document that's not in English or French.

Are you able to send me the website link that says all documents should be translated? I don't remember seeing it.

Visit CIC website. In documents checklist, it's cleary written over there.

Hi guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but since you are applying in your own country, I think you actually don't need translations... don't they process the visa in your own country ?
When I applied for mine 5 years ago, I didn't submit any translations... Has it changed ever since.. ??
