I don't believe that's the case. They will still go through the same processing, with the exception of having to meet the language requirement and take the test. Their status goes through the same changes as a regular adult application.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I was certain that others in the forum have had parents over 55 go through the process that went through the same status changes.
