please update excel sheet sanjeeva rao. I received a letter for my dad's medical on May 17, 2018, asking to submit the report within 30 days. what i didnt understand is they sent another letter for medica of my mother also, when I mentioned that she is not accompanying, and i did not pay her processing fee. I am not sure how to proceed. please share your experience if anyone has ever faced similar situation.

Hello guys,

I am new here. I am a 2017 sponsor who is sponsring my Grandmother. Here is my time line (Please add):

Application sent: July.04/2017 via Canada Post
Application Received: July.07/2017
Additional documents requested: September.11/2017
Intake acceptance letter: September.29/2017
Sponsorship approval: December.05/2017 filled transfer to CPC-Ottawa
Medical Request: May.04/2018
Medical sent: May.15/2018
Medical passed: May.18/2018

I have one question. My Grandmother is 87 years old. She has been to Canada many times and currently has a supervisa. Under the Background check it says not applicable on the MyCic account. Does this mean she doesn't need to provide PCC? Has anyone received PCC request from CPC-Ottawa?

As far as I understand, you can not sponsor just one parent, the way parents sponsorship works is if your parents are still married to each other, then you can NOT sponsor just one of them. That might be the reason that IRCC sent the medical request for both of them.

Also, once the medical result is passed, you might get a notification from IRCC to pay fee for your mother also. Perhaps, this is very strange that IRCC officer didn't notice in your file that you are sponsoring just your father, I would say that luck was on your side that they didn't reject the file. My suggestion is to get medical for your father and mother done.
