Some officers are grumpy and in order to assert their authority making things complicated and delaying things. My fathers is 80+ and the ofiicer told him that some seniors do not become citizen as during the oath ceremony they are not able to repeat the oath after the judge. I told that I will practice with him before the ceremony and she said he must be able to understand what the judge is saying and repeat after him. My father speaks good English but he has issues understanding different English accents and of course age is a factor as well and he does not pick up things fast and his hearing problem makes thing more complicated.
Did your father were asked specific questions during the interview or merely his documents were verified, because I am a senior applicant that waiting for the interview letter .
Thanks in advance.
WOW, so there is still hope for me, I've been waiting for six months and nothing happened yet, after calling several times they said they have the file but not open yet and I should wait.
Hi I don't have the IELTS original result. I think the original was sent with the immigrations paper 5 years ago. My question is there a possibility that the interviewing officer will ask for ORIGINAL IELTS result?
Ideally you should carry all the documents that you submitted with your application but document verification differs from officer to officer. In most cases, the officers only check passport, PR card and identity proof like DL etc. But you never know what an officer ask for.
Can you not request British council to send you another copy of IELTS?
And here was I thinking 4 months was too long. I wonder why they took so long to acknowledge receipt of our applications but I guess we’ll never know. Good thing is we now know it wasn’t in fact lost and is now in the system. Hopefully, the rest of the process speeds up for us from here on. Congrats & good luck!

He was asked the questions below:
Why he has been out of Canada for so many times and the length of period mentioned in the calculator? ( although the reason was already mentioned in the application form)
Whether he intends to stay in Canada?
The officer asked for his current and expired passport, PR card and a piece of ID, original landing paper
She verified the stamps on the passport with her records.
His status was changed to DM either during the weekend or on Monday as that is when I checked.
Hope that helps.. best of luck for your interview.
Thank you, also, my eCas updated this morning, though it does say the notice was sent on May 7, the attachment in my email is dated May 14 and I received the email at 11am yesterday. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I received my ATIP notes this morning, which would put it a few days early (Due May 22), so I'm not sure if the old wives tale of requesting your notes can bump them along or just a happy coincidence,
