1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 7, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 29, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on January 16, 2018. Is this normal? I applied for family. Me and my son. My daughter applied same day different envelope. She will do her test next week.

I don't see any problem here. It is quite possible that your daughter's application is simpler than yours due to which she got test invitation sooner. Additionally, her applicantion might also being processed by another officer. On top of that backgrounds checks might also be impacting on the processing.

Be patient and your turn will come.

Passed my exam yesterday 20 out of 20! Officer told me I need to send in a police certificate from the US, as my time there was more than 6 months. No big deal. I can get it pretty quickly. Good luck everyone.

I have surrendered my land phone recently. Have only cell phone now. As I have mentioned both the numbers on my citizenship application, do I have to inform CIC about this? If yes, what's the procedure?

It's probably best and easiest to use the web form.

Does the ECAS state if they sent an invitation to sit test? Do they send the invitation via regular mail or email? I got my AOR through email.
