5 days. Got my passport request on thursday night. Submitted my docs and passport on friday as saturday and sunday were weekends so they took around 4 days to send me my passport back.

What was your total processing time period ? After ur file was transferred to lvo how much did it take for the process to complete?

U applied May and did ur medical in may it is very strange . I mean do u know any thing about calling Immigratione office with number +1888... And get news from the last status.

Hi I applied in April but documents were incomplete and sent additional documents in May and they acknowledged it in May so this is why I consider myself a May applicant.

This time make sure to explain each picture also. Put a cover letter explaining the situation in detail. have you guys been living together? i think they say that if you have been living together it can be assessed as common law.

but i wonder how would one go about proving marriage if initially it was done by proxy? do the couples have to get married again?

Against interview it says against interview “interview completed” everything else is still same, we are reviewing eligibility, bgc not started

Thanks for the reply.

A person I know who had his interview on 11-April had their status updated today against the background check. It now says "We are processing your background check..."

I would suggest you to also check the account.

no way to view it. if you kept copies then you would have that.

I think the rule about CIC not accepting proxy marriages became effective in 2015.

What confuses me is CIC officer asking me this:
• " You have also provided no evidence of a rukhsati ceremony"
• "Please provide an explanation & clarify if a rukhsati was held (photographs)"

▪ Whereas, I've provided them with 3 days event photos, Rukhsati photos, original walima card & some casual post wedding photos with the application.
▪ I'm currently in Isb, Pakistan & don't know of any immigration lawyer. Should I return to Canada & consult with lawyer there. Please suggest?

you can consult with your lawyer from here, just call him and tell him situation.
Also send the same Rukhsati pictures again and write a letter to them , explain everything and tell them i already provided pictures before as well.
