We have a client whose mom is already here in Canada on a TRV. They want to extend her stay and apply for the supervisa. I do know that it is possible. I, however, wanted to know how would I go on about applying for a supervisa.
She is here from India. Does she need to redo her medical examination. I am of an understanding that for a supervisa, you need to have a medical examination done and have the medical examination form submitted alongside the supervisa application to the local Canadian Embassy ?? Since she is here in Canada already, how would I go on about this ??

You cannot convert a TRV to a super visa. Super visas must be applied from scratch in the home country, not from Canada.
Your client's mother can only apply to extend her current visitor status i.e. her entry on the TRV. She must apply to 'Change conditions, Extend her stay in Canada as a visitor' by filling IMM5708 and mail it to CPC-Vegreville.
Any previous medicals are valid for 12 months. Has she done medicals for a TRV?

There's no URL. However, this is common knowledge and has been done by some applicants. If approved, her current TRV will be cancelled.
You can contact the visa office if you'd like to reconfirm.
One point:
If your mom's passport is valid until November 2018 (i.e. until the validity of her current TRV) then I recommend you first renew her passport before applying for a super visa

Hello Bryanna, this question is related to the previous ones....
If I applied a Super Visa for my mom after she get the multiple TRV. And then she travel to Canada AFTER her medical exam BUT BEFORE it's granted. Would the Supervisa application still be processing? Can she send her passport via mail from Canada if they requst and get it sent back to her where she presents (in Canada)? Please advise!
Thank you.
