This is why I don't like going through lawyers, they really don't care about your case the same way one would themselves. Clearly that's not true judging by how many may, june, July and even August applicants have received pr
i tried to find something about assigning applicants to group but couldnt find anything related to it, i also am in confusion, because there are alot of people who are from April, may , june , july and even august, who are falling in same group.
now i dont know how will they handle a group. for some it is only 7 or 8 months, and for some it is already 11 months.
this is just a guess because i search everywhere and couldnt find anything ... May be this group is for those people who have some kind of common red flag, which need an interview.
It may be a marriage to foreign national, out of culture marriage, 2nd marriage, or divorced with kids custody kind of,
something must be common in this group which make it different.

Hello everyone. I am a march 2017 applicant and I need your help regarding my case. It's been more than an year and my application is still stuck in the background check phase. I received my pre arrival services letter on 21st dec 2017 and since then my application is stuck in bgc.
I have now decided to apply for visitor visa although i know the chances of getting it approved are very slim but we have got nothing to lose at this point. So I have a few questions regarding this situation.
1) if in case my visit visa gets approved ( which i know has a very rare chance ) will i be needing to re-enter canada on approval of immigration?
2) if i get PPR during this period, can I submit it while i am in canada?
3) should i inform my visa office if my visa gets approved?
If anyone of you has any knowldge regarding these questions then please do let me know

1) your answer is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=748&top=22
2) i am not sure about this. as far as i know, passports need to be submitted from pakistan.
3) LVO will already know if you get your visa or not, there is no need to inform them.
so far i know of only one person in this thread who got their visit visa approved and that too was because his application was nearing the end of the process. he got DM with a week of getting visit visa approval

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had an answer. My sister's husband lives with her in Canada on work permit/visa. He recently received a letter for interview basically their case is completed and they will issue the PR to him on April 5, however they planned a trip to Mexico April 9. I have heard that once you become a PR your visa/work permit becomes void. Therefore if he is out of the country for a week and does not have a PR card, what will be the situation in that case? Anyone think it'll be the same travel document needed etc?

His case is different he is inland and they sent a letter to him stating that it has come to an end and everything is done etc and basically everything has already been approved. The appointment is set to receive PR that's pretty much it. So does anyone know ??
