This is someone else question. If parents were separated and the father doesnt want to come to Canada because he has his own family now. Is that okay not to declare him in the application even in the income requirements? Thanks!

If so, IRCC is well aware of the law against divorce in that country and they do work around it. The mother would need to show strong proof that they have been separated. They do not need a lawyer.

Sorry to hijack this, but this is a confusing part.
I have my birth certificate and parents marriage certificate translated with affidavit and notarized as required. But since the checklist is stating that only the *copies* of these documents to be sent, I am planning to send the photocopies of these documents including photocopies of the affidavits and notary stamps. But now I am in doubt that it will be acceptable.
