Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

I applied on January 24 because I was still waiting for the AOR and I was afraid if they send back my Application, I would lose my status.
I asked for 1 year, but they approve just for more 6 months(actually is 8.5 months because I was 2.5 months under the implicit status since I applied for the extension).

I see. I didn’t know visitor extensions take so long. I applied last week but I only asked for 6 months.

I figured. We applied for status restoration, but through paper and it takes like 3 times as long as the online process. Such a mistake... Now we have to wait another two months before qe get an answer and can apply for OWP.

No, I am still waiting . Today would be 1 week since DM was made. Why are they taking so long?

Paper application. Do you have a representative? I think you should check with him or her. July applicant had received medical request some couple of days ago. Or log into you mycic and check if you have any updates. Also check your junk mails too in your email. They must have sent you that request, if not, put a call forward to cic.

I have 30 days to get my medical... the only place that is remotely close to me cant get me in till 23rd May! All other places are more than 4 hours away Has anyone had any experience with this?

I just got mine done in Vancouver had to drive here from kelowna

I just got mine done in Vancouver had to drive here from kelowna

Darn I live in Salmon Arm so Kelowna is the closest one to me. I might have to drive to Vancouver too

Kelowna office was booked till middle of May , which is super frustrating as I live right by it so had to get a friend to drive me pay gas and hotel just for medical

Like where did I submit my application? Mississauga. When I checked my application online yesterday, they were already reviewing my eligibility. Have you checked yours?

Yeah I'm tossing up between going down to Vancouver or asking for an extension beyond the 30 days that they give you for it.
