Calgary is finally picking up, I just got an email for my test invite. It's on April 12th @ 10am. My application has been in process since Jan 4th phew. Admin please update the spreadsheet.

Hmmmm, guys, a trivial question here:

For my test invite, the ECAS update finally appeared today, and it said:

"We sent you a notice on March 15, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on April 18, 2018 at 12:20 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment."

But my test invite letter in my email is date March.20th and that is also when I received the email. Maybe CIC is backdating test invites to make it seem like it has been sent out earlier? Or maybe the other way around?

I am wondering which one is really the official test invite date, no that it really matters that much, but just to get it right for the tracking sheet.

They only need to give you two weeks notice, so there's no need for them to backdate this particular invitation to meet their standards.

Someone else reported experiencing a similar thing; maybe someone at IRCC made a mistake creating some invitations, or maybe their system was acting up for a little while...

I guess I'd consider the date in the letter (the email attachment) the "official" date.

Hello Calgarians. After almost 80 days of waiting, Calgary office is back from their Christmas turkey coma and sent my test invite this morning. Test Date is 12th April 2018 at 8:00 AM.

I just received the invite for myself only though. I have my daughter who is 6 years old on the file but they haven't send her a letter. I know that she doesn't need to do the exam but I believe she needs to show up and the interviewer needs to make sure of her identity.

Any idea?

Think you should bring her along, at least her documents. Give it a few days and check her ecas status.. If nothing is there, i suggest you calling them and asking if she needs to come along or only her documents would be enough.
