Haha I hope so and thanks for your good wishes. But not reality I think I may have to wait a little longer. They current processing time is 15 months and currently I am at 12. Furthermore, some people are getting the prearrival even before the medical so I am a little sceptical .
It's been a journey... And it's not over till it's over
Hi patel_sanket_1,
the visa office Rome replied and said so when my layer (representative) contacted them.
Rome office reply two days ago was;
Dear Sir,
Your client’s application is in queue for initial review in IRCC Rome. An exact review schedule is not yet available. However, all applications are reviewed in the order in which they were received.
Please provide receipt of your client’s upfront medicals and copy of payment of RPRF.
Best regards,
IRCC Rome
Canadian Embassy / Ambassade du Canada
It is strange for me too but on the GCMS notes I recieved few days ago nothing has started on backgroung, security or criminality all is on status - not started. Only info sharing it was complete.
I don't understand how long will it take.
thanks,

yes thanks I did send yesterday, I have done medicals upfront and my medicals will expire today on the 23
My representative contacted them for this reason, asking them to inform us on the status of my file because the medicals will expire and they replied as per the previous message. I really hope they will complete soon and will not ask me to do medicals again.

I think so they will ask again for medicals but on their last message they asked for the upfront medicals I did.
Lets see in future communications what will they say, and now its more than 16 months since I applied and I dont know anything how long it will take
I just refreshed my ecas now and showing medicals have been recieved. I think they finally confirmed it so will not ask me to redo medical check
hope it will not take long ot complete the review of my file

I applied for PR under Quebec Skilled Worker on December 15, 2016. Last month I received an email from CIC stating the following:
"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
Ø Schedule A: Please provide a separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature. Questions 9, 10 and 11 must be completed. Put"N/A" if you are not concerned.
Ø This must be received at this office by:2018/03/04."
While refilling this form I realized that I had earlier made 2 mistakes in the original form. First, I left some columns empty that did not apply to me. Second, I mentioned 'no' in the question related to visa refusal, I mistakenly took the question for Canada visas only. My tourist visa for US had been refused once in 2014.
I corrected these 2 mistakes and resent the form but haven't heard back from CIC yet. I'm little worried since it's been more than 15 months since I made the application. Anyone with the similar experience?
Note- I cleared medical and submitted RCMP record already.
Hi everyone. Managed to finally link my application. Unfortunately the form I used for the payment Fee Payment Form—Application for Permanent Residence IMM5620E was rejected. So I had to pay online and then uploaded the PDF receipt online.
Here's my status so far (is it okay to post this?)

We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
We need additional documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details.
You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Biometrics
Background check Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
So number 4 I just uploaded my receipt. Hopefully it's enough and I don't have to courier a hard copy to the immigration center.
Hopefully I don't need to be interviewed haha.
whew I paid $1,040 I wonder if it's the right amount? It said there $550 and then $490. I figured that I might as well pay that right to residency thing.
