I passed the test in Scarborough on January 24, and still waiting on DM + oath. Any idea how long it may take? I read here that some got DM three days after test. Is that something habitual?

I got it two days after test which was November 1st 2017. But who cares!

Trust me, care for Oath date. And you might get it a day after DM. So no worries.

It varies, but if it's been this long, its probably because they are still completing a background check.

How did you get a hold on them?

Email?
Phone?

On phone i have been calling like everyday and ask what I hear is the false message saying" we are receiving high volume of calls".

How can you reach this "third world" government center?

In short,

Criminality and Security together are background checks. Criminality check is performed by RCMP, and Security by CSIS. Eligibility just means checking whether you're qualified to become a citizen (tax filings, physical presence, language proof etc.)

People give it an excuse for whats callecalled background check. Ya, maybe.

No communication comes between DM and Oath. Mainly the interview would be indicative, either the officer will tell you all is good, wait for Oath, or he /she might tell you that they still need "bla bla"....which typically means, everything else is done except that "thing" which the officer brought up.
