Hi everyone, I passed the test yesterday, and the interview went OK, the officer check the stamps on the passport, and check if it is matched with what I provided in the physical presence form. But at the end he told me, they are still waiting for my background check results, which may take a 2-3 weeks or more. Is anyone still waiting for the background check after the test?

Got Oath invite yesterday. Oath is on March 20.

It kinda messed up my vacations as I was flying overseas on March 23. Will delay my holidays by a week and get a passport on urgent basis. Will flyout on March 30 now. Anybody has experience with passport express service?

Another good news for the Montrealers. 2 weeks between Decision Made and the ceremony letter! From immigrer-com forum. You might want to add this to the file:

Congratulations! But please don't extend your case to everyone. People might get the wrong impression and get confused and think everyone gets 2 weeks or etc and It will cause more panics in the forum. There are many (also Montrealers) that have not done the test, still in process or done the test, no decision made or no oath letter after 2 weeks.

Yes, the thing is: You have DM, I still don't. A friend took his test on the same day as I did and he got DM within 2 days. For me, it's been 15 days post test and still no DM.

Hope I'm not getting RQ...I do have a fair bit of travel history, mainly to Europe.

You are not alone my Friend, Test done on January 18th still no DM. Be patient!

All experts, going for 3 weeks out of Canada. My application is still "Application received" so not expecting test invite soon. Do I need to inform CIC and if yes, what is the best way to do that, I mean just email will work or any form to be fill. Thanks in advance.

My friend got a passport in 2 days under urgent request. He had to pay an extra fee to pick up the passport in person but was able to catch the scheduled flight in the evening. Congrats and good luck!

Yup. Numbers speak for themselves. Since January, average weekly test invites were ~43, but last week there were 17 i.e. almost 40% of weekly average.
