I applied on August 18th, 2017 from Canada to my wife at India, the file reached India on dec, 1st, 2017, I haven’t received Any updates yet.

You have to wait a bit more. I applied June 2nd and file transferred to New Delhi on August 8, my background check just changed on 27 feb. so u can have an idea.

He's from USA. His application stayed in Mississauga for the entire processing; it didn't get forwarded to his home country. Some cases stay in Mississauga for the whole process: both sponsor's app and PA's app. But we'll be sending his passport request to the US Visa office in Ottawa to receive CoPR, as instructed (just received PPR today). So I guess Ottawa is technically the visa office, where his final papers will be stamped and signed, but the whole processing - both sponsor side and PA side - still took place in Mississauga. I guess that's why I was referring to Mississauga as the VO, since that's where the whole entire application was being handled.

My additional documents status changed from "the additional documents you provided have been uploaded " to "we do not need additional documents". Hopefully a positive sign. Do you have any idea? Is this a sign of starting soon the BCG ? Thanks

That's the reason why this forum is created. That all applicants of 2017 help each other cause we are in the same situation.
To get an valuable answer i have to post it in different forums to be sure everyone has an idea . The fact that the notifications comes to u means that u have posted too everywhere.
If it bothers u can log out and log in when u need it .

Actually, what you are saying is false- I haven't posted identical posts in multiple forums- ever. What I was suggesting is that instead of putting the exact same message in the threads for every single month, that you wait a few minutes to get a response before posting over and over again. As a member of this forum, I am simply reminding you of some basic forum etiquette. Don't take it personally, I'm sure if someone can help you they will if you are patient.
