I'm not sure if Medical results for "NEW" super visa will be used for a sponsorship application as well? If so, how long it would be valid?
I'm planning to apply (either super visa or regular temp visitor visa) for my parents, my sponsorship application is still pending (who knows when I go to the next step) and thinking the only advantage of super visa for my situation would be using the same Medical exams (as of costs, not redo exams, etc) otherwise regular visitor visa would be fine.
It might be acceptable but remember the medical expires in 1 year and you never know when will you be asked for it for the PGP app.
To avoid wasting money; I'd go with visitor visa, normally it's granted for up to 2 years and ideally your PGP application would either be complete or at final stages by then.
1- Medical can be done anywhere in the wold through a panel doctor but it might cost a lot more in Canada as compared to India.
PCC is local and each country/state have their own process to obtain it. It might require an interview with the local authorities.
2- I don't believe IRCC needs to know if they're visiting Canada.

Below are my stats. I tried to go through the thread to see is some has a similar timeline and has gotten any more development than me but couldn't find any. Is anyone able to confirm if people who received AOR in Nov have received next step communication from CIC ??? I am getting a bit anxious since its been more than 3 months since I received AOR.

No, those who applied last week of july and first week of August (with parents who are not on super visa) received AOR around Nov.20. But since then, no communications from CIC (E-cas was updated around Jan 25 saying that tthey started processing the SA on Jan 25).
If I make comparison with other applications, it seems that it took recently 4-6 weeks once they start processing your SA to get Sponsorship approval.
As I already said, it is a lil bit frustrating as there are some in similar situations but applied 1-2 weeks before us who are now on medical step. Grrrrrrrr.
