How do we know that our finger prints have been received by the CIC? One of my friend submitted FP on Jan. 24th but when checking online there is no update or info. about FP being received. Local RCMP office did tell him that they will send them directly to CIC. Any advise please about how to get confirmation that CIC received FP?

I have same problem. I did fingerprint before more than two months and RCMP confirmed to me (on the telephone) that they did send the result after three days of taking the fingerprint. I called CIC three times and they could not confirm that they received the result. My question is what if the result was lost through the way between RCMP and CIC?
In case anybody out there experiencing the same issue:
My 3/5 years is divided into two passports. I shredded the old one and throw it out 4 years ago when I received the new one (current), but I kept a copy of the old one ONLY bio page in case of something...
When I received my test invite, I realized that I need the old passport original. It was too late, so I decided to call CIC today. I told agent that I can bring my flight ticket (I once left Canada between 2012 to 2014), and an employment letter and my T4 to show to the officer.
Agent said all is good proving points to take with you but at the end is the officer's decision.
Did your ECAS state that your oath date? or did you receive a letter? I had my test on 14th feb and it changed to DM two days after but no Oath letter yet.
For me ecas was updated but I haven't receive any emails. So when by accident I checked ecas I found the test invite. Anyway I received my test invitation letter by mail today
