When did you get medical request and when did you get BGIP. And also whats's your aplication recipt date.

AOR March 2 2017, I did upfront medical check and ECAS indicates Medical received Oct 16th 2017, after that nothing.

BGIP: Just 2 hours ago! Feb, 27, 2018! i did not receive any updates but when i checked my cic account, it said your background in process.
From my experience and tracking all the other applicants, here is my conclusion:
CIC is trying to reduce the processing time to 15-16 months and i think they have been successful so far!
Upfront medical does not affect your application!
It`s not about your nationality, it`s about how fast they can process your application based on your name, travel history, residency in Canada, ETC...
CIC process based on AOR date not application date.
Guys! have faith that's all! we are getting there!

guys i am dec 22 2016 applicant. just called cic phone number to check my application status since i can't use mycic because i have an agent. Suddenly today the phone says something different. Before it says "your medical were successful, we do not need fingerprint" something like that.
However today it says "you passed medical exam, we are processing your background check". is this BGIP??

same here I also found BG IP this morning, is it real or system changing status by default because of site maintenance?
