ECAS shows 'medical results have been received". Does it ever switch to medical passed or not?
Will the next message be regarding 'background check'?

What is SA? My parents application was received on May 4, 2017. AOR on Aug 4,2017. I requested to add a dependent ;my younger sister 21yo) on November 2017 and they said they will forward the request to my visa office but I have not heard anything the status of the application was stuck in “application received”

that's true, any docs addition delay your case

Was the decision “approved” your timeline is very quick..did they not ask for medicals or passport?

After ‘decision made’, your file is transferred to the local visa office. Once file is transferred to the local visa office, the LVO asks for police clearence certificate and medicals.
This just means your financials have been approved.

I have sent the request form to add my younger sister last November they confirmed that they will forward to the visa office my request and I will be contacted for the next steps but until now I have not received any instructions. How about you?

i did the same thing in Jan 2018 and received an acknowledgment email from cic. However, I'm still awaiting their instructions. I have called the call centre but looks like some of the agents have no idea about this new public policy. some others said there is no timeline for receiving instruction on this matter, and we should be just patient...

Just for my own clarification but does this public policy cover applications for dependant children 19-21 being added to their parents applications that is the parents of the children ?

Just confusing that this is in a parents and grandparents thread, that is parents of the dependant childs parents and grandparents of the dependant child. Am I missing something ?

When you sponsor your parents you can sponsor their dependent children. In other words, you don't necessarily need to be the parent to sponsor your dependent children. if you are a parent and are sponsored by your son or daughter, they can sponsor your dependent children within the parent sponsorship application.

Yes, this public policy covers dependent children of PGP application, if the child of the applicants (ie. my parents child and my younger sister) was 21 or below at lock in date (application received) they can be added as dependent to your parents application

This link doesn't say anything about parents sponsorship timelines, its about spousal category.

Not sure about 2016 PGP, but quite sure we were told the whole processing time would be within a year for 2017. (Not sure where I read that). So previous years applications shouldnt really affect 2017 PGP

Do you mind if I ask for your timeline? When was the application received? Did you add any dependents to your parents? When was the medical exam requested? From what country your parents from?

App received end of July.
I didn't add any dependents.
Medical was requested the first week of January.
London visa office.

Yes, at least 3 that I'm aware of so far. Manila, London and Ankara.
There's no movement in Ottawa for 2017 as well.

Still no news on my end. Still waiting. Ecas shows shows application received on June 29th, 2017.

It became to application in progress in between but then again became application received. Home address is from new Delhi. Has this happened with anyone

Did anyone from New Delhi had got medicals or police report request or a pr?
