Man, I'm in a similar situation. I'm probably going to move to another province this summer and would prefer to be done with this process before May comes.

There must be something related to security clearance with your file as well. Probably officer forgot to tell you. It also depends on officer if he want let you know about security clearance or not. In my case officer told me about it, So i have not choice other than wait, but office also told me to contact CIC, if not update in 1 month. I will suggest you as well to call CIC to check your status, if it's more than 1 month.

I already contacted, and they said I should wait, I will try to give them a call again tomorrow.

No point in calling them. You'll be wasting your own time. Just have to wait it out. I don't even have a test invite yet.

My online status says “application received” but when I called the call center they told me my application is under background check. Is that cic didn’t updated my status online to in process or background check are usually done at “application rec” mode!
please answer. thanks

@Kan_Sri sorry I meant in progress since Febuary 17, 2018. I just finish calling the call center and I was told that my background check has been completed and that I'm in line for the text invitee to be sent out to me. Wow! So so fast.
