Points:
Got rid of 80% of the backlog
15000 backlog down from 75000
As of Dec 31, met commitment to do 80% of applications within 12 months
Continue to listen to people who are in the system and are continuing to make changes (to guide, checklists)
Changed some of the requirements in the spousal application process - PCC upfront now to make it easier and to allow them to process faster
To those of us still in the system, they are working to complete our files still - government committed to getting this done faster and faster
Now having some people that have been through the process talk about the experience (9 months from Pakistan)
Well, I actually rejoice with the 60K+ that got their applications worked on. It could not have been easy for them. However in that mix is people that applied way after I did and still have their PPR.

And it is Family Day in some parts of Canada this weekend. So between Valentine's Day and Family Day, maybe they will take pity on us and feel motivated to churn out the approvals!
